The Super Nice Club is a global community dedicated to making the world 10% nicer. It’s not a big lift, but it’s an important one given how increasingly divided we’ve become. As the AP put it in its “Divided America” series, we live in a world that is increasingly 1 percent vs. the 99 percent, rural vs. urban, climate doubters vs. believers. Bathrooms have become battlefields, borders are battle lines. Sex and race, faith and ethnicity…the melting pot seems to be boiling over.” So how about working together on the big fundamental, on the one thing that is bigger than religion or politics…on basic, human decency. Let’s work on being nice. You don’t need any set of rules or dogma to be nicer, there’s no external judge, no better way to do it, and best of all, nothing to argue about. Just be nice.
